Once upon a time, Kim Possible was on a mission to save the world.

Today, the actor behind the beloved character, Christy Carlson Romano is doing her part by sharing her experiences as a child star in the late 90s and early aughts.

Better yet, she's producing podcasts that let others do the same.

We sat down with Christy to hear more about her journey from Disney kid to podcast powerhouse.

Plus, she opens up about her nostalgia-driven brand partnership with vitamin brand, Emergen-C.

From Actress, To YouTuber, To Podcaster

Christy Carlson Romano has been churning out content on YouTube for years, so what prompted the move into podcasting, in particular?

Speaking of her very first podcast, Vulnerable, Christy smiles that to a degree, it started on a whim.

"My husband likes podcasts, and we couldn't do YouTube forever. So, we found this little studio space in downtown LA, and made the decision to rent it, and explore podcasting!"

Much of the decision, she adds, came down to their concerns that the YouTube algorithm wasn't exactly making things easy for ... well, anyone other than Mr. Beast.

"You almost can't compete with the grand content anymore, and it kind of edges out the everyday vlogger."

That's not to say she didn't love creating for the platform, though.

Far from it, she smiles that being in control of her own content, picking out her own outfits and speaking to who she wanted to ignited something in her.

And, she explains, "Podcasting was just an organic next step."

" Vulnerable was a way for me to start talking to other people about their mental health journeys, and from there, it's just blown up."

How She Started Producing Podcasts For Other Former Child Stars

Christy wasn't kidding, there.

Since launching Vulnerable, she's gone on to produce several other podcasts for other former child actors through her podcasting production company, Podco.

That happened organically, too.

"I live in Austin, Texas most of the time, so I was going to LA for, like, 72-hour windows, recording 12 episodes in two days, and then coming back - but the rest of the time, our studio was free."

"We thought, well, we can either rent it out to folks, or we can start producing more content - so we decided to gear up and find people we liked working with," she explains.

It just so happens that the people in question also happened to be the Lawrence brothers, of Brotherly Love fame, and Ned's Declassified alum, Devon Werkheiser.

Christy also reached out to Jennifer Stone and David DeLuise of Wizards of Waverly Place - and when Selena Gomez, herself, posted about the podcast, they knew they were on to something massive.

"We had a lot of support," Christy beams - and it's not hard to see why.

Nostalgia Is Center Stage - So Emergen-C Was A Natural Fit

If there's one thing the Podco shows are known for, it's their focus on feel-good nostalgia.

"We're trying to deliver on positive memories of the past, that are really empowering," Christy explains.

It's precisely because of that that Christy's just partnered with another brand who takes their nostalgia seriously -- vitamin company, Emergen-C.

Speaking of partnering with the brand for the launch of their Emergen-C Crystals, Christy laughs, "It's literally like a throwback in your mouth, without any water!"

"It's such an honor to work with Emergen-C," she continues, adding that she's been a fan of the brand for years.

Plus, from a creator's perspective, she's excited to work with a brand she genuinely loves.

"We see so many ads that make no sense. So, when you see something that feels authentically engaging and fun, you notice it!"

So, what's the sitch?

Christy Carlson Romano is on a mission to give the world the throwbacks its pining for, all while pushing the needle forward.
