What happened to Cassandra Fear?
Cassandra Fear, a 41-year-old Cleveland woman, passed away after being fatally struck by a car on Saturday, December 16, 2023. According to the Police, she was driving when she accidentally struck a parked car in the 3700 block of West 130th Street around 9 p.m. in the city’s Jefferson neighborhood.
She stepped out of her car to check the damages when she was hit by another passing vehicle, whose driver did not stop. According to a neighbor who requested to remain anonymous, “The people in that corner home asked her if she was okay. She was conscious (after the first accident) and told them she was alright.
They went back into the house, and they said they heard another commotion when they came back outside; she was lying on the ground, and she was dead already. (after the second accident).” Emergency Medical Services officers pronounced her dead at the scene.
The Cuyahoga Medical Examiner’s office identified her on Sunday afternoon. “This remains under investigation; no arrests have been made at this time, and no further information is available,” said the Police on Sunday morning. Police have appealed to the general public to assist with the investigation and contact Cleveland Police if they have any information regarding the harrowing incident.
Who was Cassandra Fear?
Cassandra Fear was a well-known businesswoman. She owned Fear’s Confections in Lakewood, a beloved local candy store. A local magazine interviewed her in April 2020 regarding her candy store preparing for Easter during a pandemic. Her store closed in March after 13 years in business.
